Elasticity or elastic computing is the essential characteristics of cloud computing. Elasticity is the ability of the service by architectural design to automatically assign, or allocate, computing resources within the pool to a particular consumer in response to demand and then reassign, or reallocate, the resources to another consumer all happening without interruption, knowledge of the consumer and without any human intervention.
